No. 3 Connecticut 92, Villanova 49
HARTFORD, Conn. -- Tina Charles had 21 points and 13 rebounds as Connecticut remained unbeaten in the Big East. Her 10 double-doubles are a UConn freshman record. UConn (26-2, 15-0) had five players in double figures, and never trailed. Mel Thomas had 16 points and hit three of her four 3-point shots. Renee Montgomery added 13 points and eight assists, Charde Houston had 12 points and Brittany Hunter had 10. Villanova (7-21, 1-14) was led by Lisa Karcic and Stacie Witman, who each had 17 points. But the Wildcats, which have only one player taller than 6-foot-1, were dominated inside. The Huskies outrebounded the Wildcats 53-24 and held them without a 2-point field goal for the last 14:23 of the first half.
No. 10 Arizona State 59, Arizona 54
TUCSON, Ariz. -- Emily Westerberg scored 14 of her 16 points in the second half, including key free throws down the stretch, to give Arizona State the victory. The win gave Arizona State (26-3, 16-2) a single-season school record for victories, passing the previous mark set in 1982. The Sun Devils moved within a half-game of Stanford for the Pac-10 lead. Joy Hollingsworth scored 24 points and Ashley Whisonant added 12 for Arizona (10-20, 4-14).
No. 17 Middle Tennessee 76,Florida Atlantic 63
MURFREESBORO, Tenn. -- Krystle Horton scored 27 points and pulled down 10 rebounds to lead Middle Tennessee over Florida Atlantic. Chrissy Givens scored 31 points for the second straight game to lead the Blue Raiders.
Ohio 70, No. 18 Bowling Green 67
BOWLING GREEN -- Rachel Frederick hit four free throws in the final 2 1/2 minutes as Ohio ended the nation's longest home winning streak at 29 games. The loss also put an end to the Falcons' 18-game winning streak overall and string of 39 consecutive wins against Mid-American Conference teams.
No. 23 Louisville 68, Syracuse 56
SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- Angel McCoughtry scored 20 points and Brandi Radde added 15 for Louisville. Syracuse (9-19, 3-12 Big East) defended the Cardinals better than the last meeting on Feb. 10 when Louisville (24-5, 10-5) beat the Orange 98-50 at Louisville.
No. 21 Rutgers 76, Notre Dame 60
SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- Rutgers' Matee Ajavon scored a season-high 26 points -- 15 in a row for her team in the second half -- and the Scarlet Knights won their fifth straight. Essence Carson added 17 points for Rutgers (19-7, 12-3 Big East), which remain in second place and clinched a bye in the first round of the Big East tournament. Kia Vaughn added 13 points and 10 rebounds and Epiphanny Prince had 10 points.
No. 24 Wis.-Green Bay 84, Butler 70
GREEN BAY, Wis. -- Nicole Soulis scored 19 points and Amanda Popp added 18 points and seven rebounds as Wisconsin-Green Bay extended its school-record winning streak to 20 games. The victory clinched the ninth straight regular-season Horizon League championship for the Phoenix.
