MRDD bus in icy Niles crash

NILES – Ice is blamed for a three-vehicle accident that included a bus operated by the Trumbull County Board of Mental Retardation and Development Disabilities. There were no injuries and no charges filed.

According to the accident report, two vehicles were westbound this morning on U.S. Route 422. One driver lost control on the icy roadway during a lane change near Niles-Vienna Road. That vehicle collided with another, and one of them struck the eastbound bus.

The bus contained only the driver and a bus aide.
