A summary of police activity in Canfield and Austintown:
CANFIELD
Feb. 12
Theft and criminal mischief: A total of 19 keys to individual stations in the cosmetology class at the Mahoning County Career and Technical Center, 7300 N. Palmyra Road, were stolen. Students were unable to complete class assignments because they could not open their individual stations.
Drug abuse: Police arrested a 33-year-old Vienna woman on North Broad Street and charged her with possession of suspected marijuana cigarettes.
AUSTINTOWN
Feb. 12
Property damage: A vehicle was damaged at a car wash at Coates Car Care, 5243 Mahoning Ave.
Theft: A total of 25 in fuel was stolen from BP gas station, 3107 S. Canfield-Niles Road.
Theft: A car stereo was stolen from an auto parked at an apartment in the 200 block of Westminster Avenue.
Theft: An all-terrain vehicle was bought but not returned after the check for the vehicle bounced. The vehicle was bought from the homeowner at in the 1000 block of Polley Drive.
Feb. 13
Criminal trespassing: Police arrested a woman on a warrant for criminal trespassing at the T.A. Travel Center, 5400 Seventy-SIx Drive.
Theft: Miscellaneous change was taken from a vehicle parked in the 300 block of North Edgehill Avenue.
Criminal damaging: Fences were damaged at R.B. Fabricators Inc., 4021 Mahoning Ave.
Feb. 14
Criminal damaging: The right side mirror on a car was damaged at a home in the 600 block of Country Ridge Drive.
Criminal damaging: An ATM camera window was damaged at Chase Bank, 4243 Mahoning Ave.
Fraud: An account was opened using the victim's bank card number at a home in the 400 block of South Raccoon Road.
Vehicle theft: A 1999 GMC Yukon Denali was stolen at Wedgewood Lanes, 1732 S. Raccoon Road.
Feb. 15
Theft: Someone pumped 20.04 in fuel at Certified Oil, 825 N. Niles-Canfield Road and left without paying.
Theft: Items were taken from the victim's purse at a home in the 500 block of Notre Dame Drive.
Feb. 16
Theft: A total of 600 feet of copper wire was stolen from Leff Electric, 1090 N. Meridian Road.
Theft: A communications device was stolen from Gateways for Better Living, 3220 S. Raccoon Road.
Theft: Four lug nuts were stolen from a vehicle at Sheetz gas station, 5499 Mahoning Ave.
Feb. 17
Fraud: A victim, who lives in the 600 block of South Raccoon Road, lost 2,934.99 trying to claim a sweepstakes prize that proved to be false.
Theft: Police issued a man a summons for theft at Kmart, 4475 Mahoning Ave.
Theft: A laptop computer was stolen from a home in the 300 block of South Edgehill Avenue.
Breaking and entering: Police arrested a 16-year-old boy and charged him with breaking and entering Davis Elementary School, 4302 Maple Ave., and removing a computer device. The youth was taken to the Martin P. Joyce Juvenile Justice Center, Youngstown. The device was recovered.
Feb. 18
Drug offense: A Niles woman was issued a summons on charges of possession of marijuana at Wedgewood Plaza, 1743 S. Raccoon Road.
Theft: A man was arrested for theft at Sheetz gas station and placed in county jail.
Attempted theft: A washing machine was tampered with at apartments in the 2000 block of South Raccoon Road.
Criminal damage: Eight tires were cut on a car in the 4000 block of Warwick South.
Theft: A total of 55.30 in fuel was stolen from Sheetz gas station on two separate occasions.
