Nirschl jubilee is celebrated in Columbiana
POLAND -- The 50th wedding anniversary of Mr. and Mrs. Francis A. Nirschl of Poland was celebrated with family and friends during a party held Jan. 13 at the American Legion Post 290 in Columbiana, where Mr. Nirschl is a member.
Dinner guests included the couples daughters and sons-in-law, Susanne and Allen Cogar of Ravenna and Pam and John Maikranz of Niagara Falls, N.Y., along with a granddaughter, Laura Maikranz, and two great-grandsons, Seth and Trent Maikranz, all of Niagara Falls. They also have three grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren who were unable to attend.
Mr. Nirschl and the former Kathleen Kennedy were married Jan. 9, 1957, in Akron.
Mrs. Nirschl is a member of the JFK Democratic Women's Club, Cardinal Ruritan Club and the Ancient Order of Hibernians. She was a nurse until retiring from Woodside Hospital.
Mr. Nirschl is a member of the American Legion, Veterans of Foreign Wars, Cardinal Ruritan Club and Knights of Columbus. He retired from the Mahoning County Recorders office and is employed with Agnew's Farm Equipment.
