Podiatry office addshours, new treatment
AUSTINTOWN -- Austintown Podiatry Associates has made several improvements to its three-office practice recently.
The practice has added patient hours on Wednesday evenings and on Saturdays. Also, it has hired Dr. Sarah Cernica Reichard, who is at both the Austintown and Boardman offices.
The practice also has a Warren office. Its other physicians are Dr. Lawrence Karlock, Dr. Catherine Karlock, Dr. John Flauto and Dr. Joseph Arters.
One of its latest treatments is skin substitute grafts. This procedure uses processed human tissue instead of skin from somewhere else on the patient's body.
It can be done in the office because the patient doesn't need an operation on another part of the body.
Packer Thomas joinsinternational network
YOUNGSTOWN -- Packer Thomas has been admitted to the international network of CPAmerica.
The firm, which has offices in Youngstown and New Castle, Pa., said the network will allow it to serve clients as if it were a national firm. CPAmerica consists of 70 firms across the United States.
It also has an alliance with Horwath International, which has more than 20,000 professionals in 85 countries.
Firms seeking an alliance with CPAmerica must pass a quality review and demonstrate high practice standards.
Farmers National Bankto mark its 120th year
CANFIELD -- Farmers National Bank will celebrate its 120th anniversary Friday. The bank's branches will offer refreshments, an anniversary raffle and gifts. The Canfield-based bank has 17 locations in Mahoning, Trumbull and Columbiana counties.

YOUNGSTOWN -- Keynote Media Group, a marketing and public relations firm based downtown, has been selected by Meridian Services to develop and implement its marketing and branding strategies.
Meridian assists individuals and families affected by chemical dependency and mental health related disorders.
Kidney disease clinicopens in Boardman
BOARDMAN -- Nephrology Associates has opened Nephrology Associates Chronic Kidney Disease Clinic at 807 Southwestern Run. The clinic will allow physicians to focus on early detection and appropriate treatment of chronic kidney disease, Dr. Erdal Sarac said.
The clinic will offer customized therapy based on diagnosis, prevention and treatment of cardiovascular disease, preparation for kidney failure and kidney replacement, and replacement of kidney function by dialysis or transplantation.

WARREN -- Kelly Carrier of Strategic Valuation Group of Warren was elected president of the Pittsburgh chapter of the American Society of Appraisers. Carrier said the chapter's goal is to provide informative and interesting programs and to gain more recognition.
Bodybuilder joinsstudio in Poland
POLAND -- Karen Miller, an award-winning bodybuilder, said she is now affiliated with Fine Tune Fitness, a personal training studio in Poland.
The gym has programs for beginners, advanced athletes and people in between. Miller has won several titles including Ms. Pro-Am Natural Bodybuilder.
