"Where's Lazlo?" (7 p.m., Cartoon Network): He's just a little Brazilian monkey, but fun-loving Lazlo has made all the difference for the Bean Scouts of Camp Kidney. In this new hour-long movie, campers Raj and Clam remember the camp's dreary days before Lazlo arrived, and the missing monkey has big adventures with a runaway train car, an Indian elephant, a pygmy rhino and a busboy who works in a restaurant that serves only beef.
"Slings and Arrows" (8 p.m., Sundance Channel): Things are going great for the New Burbage Theater Festival, a formerly struggling Shakespearian theater company that lately has found critical acclaim and box-office success. But that doesn't mean tensions aren't running high behind the scenes. You can tell things are askew: The artistic director is afflicted with public crying jags. And that's only part of the backstage "Slings and Arrows," a charming comedy-drama returning for its third and final season of six hour-long episodes.
"The Color Purple: The Color of Success" (8 p.m., TV One network): This one-hour special traces the triumphant journey of Alice Walker's memorable tale during the past quarter-century. It begins with the 1982 publication of this epistolary novel, then follows its evolution from Pulitzer Prize-winning and best-selling novel to the celebrated 1985 film by Steven Spielberg. Then, in 2005, it was staged on Broadway in an acclaimed musical version. The documentary includes footage of the show's casting sessions and rehearsals, as well as recording sessions for the Grammy-nominated cast album. Walker, Spielberg and Oprah Winfrey (who co-starred in the film and is a producer of the Broadway show) are among those heard from in the film.
"The Amazing Race" (8 p.m., CBS): "The Amazing Race" goes where "Survivor" and "Big Brother" have gone before with an all-star edition. We're not sure if the gimmick is a good fit for this Emmy-winning series, but no one asked us. Among the all-stars: Rob and Amber, who have stretched their 15 minutes of fame to unbearable lengths.
"MLK -- Words That Changed a Nation" (8 and 11 p.m., CNN): In celebration of Black History Month, journalist Soledad O'Brien delves into the newly opened Martin Luther King Jr. archives to present "MLK -- Words That Changed a Nation." O'Brien examines King's life through his writings and interviews with several eyewitnesses to history.
