Program on grief
CHAMPION -- Wildare United Methodist Church, 7211 N. Park Ave. Ext., will host a Christian-based program, "Growing Through Grief," at 4:30 p.m. Sundays, starting Feb. 25. The video and discussion group is open to people of all ages who are experiencing grief because of the death of a loved one or a broken relationship. Registration is appreciated. Prayer breakfast

Guild's monthly Mass
POLAND -- The Diocesan Infant Jesus of Prague Guild will hold its monthly Mass at 10 a.m. Thursday at Holy Family Church, 2729 Center Road. The rosary will be at 9:30.
Questions about faith
WARREN -- Christ Episcopal Church, 2627 Atlantic St. N.E., will present a course that offers content and context for a "middle way" of engaging in conversation about the faith journey. Via Media, a program of learning about theology from national and world-renowned scholars, "people in the pews" and ordained leaders will be presented at noon and 6 p.m. Wednesdays, starting Feb. 28. Study of philosophies
BOARDMAN -- A comparative study of the Taoism of Bruce Lee as expressed in the philosophy in "The Tao of Jeet Kune Do " and the Yeshua-based faith of St. Paul the Apostle focusing on scriptural excerpts from The Complete Jewish Bible with translation by David H. Stern will be the topic of a free program from 6 to 8 p.m. Feb. 25 at D.D. and Velma Davis Family YMCA, 45 McClurg Road. Larry Trombitas, founder of the American System of Self-Defense, will be the moderator.
Financial seminar
WARREN -- Warren New Hope Free Methodist Church, 2250 Tod Ave. N.W., will sponsor "Journey to True Financial Freedom" from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. March 3. An instructor from Crown Financial Ministries will address topics including how to make wise financial decisions based on God's principles, addressing financial issues before they become problems and practical steps to avoid or get out of debt. AUSTINTOWN -- A conference for Catholic women, "Come Thirsty, Leave Refreshed," is planned Feb. 24 at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, 4500 Norquest Blvd. Inspirational speakers will be Sister Dianne Livingstone, Nancy Layko and Judy Nelson. Musicians lead worship
NILES -- The Bridge, a contemporary praise and worship band will share in leading worship at 10 a.m. Sunday at Southside Presbyterian Church, 102 W. Second St. The band features Bob Miller, guitar and vocals; Bill Scudier, saxophone, vocals and tambourine; Liz Yochman, flute, guitar, vocals and tambourine; and Al Cooper, percussion and vocals.
Concert set at church
HUBBARD -- Pete Shelby, a contemporary Christian artist, will present an acoustic concert at 6 p.m. Sunday at Corner House Christian Church, 6954 Chestnut Ridge Road. He will perform selections from his album, Fishers of Men. There is no admission fee; an offering will be taken.

CANFIELD --Youngstown Spiritual Society will hold a message and meditation service from 10 to 11 a.m. Sunday the Ursuline Center, 4280 Shields Road. Vince Lisi will present, & quot;The Real Secret of Success, & quot; followed by meditation and shared prayer.
Lenten journey
VILLA MARIA, Pa. -- "A Lenten Journey into the Heart of God" will start at 7 p.m. Friday and continue to Feb. 25 at Villa Maria Community Center. Dr. Carol Zinn, an international advocate for a peaceful global society, will be the presenter. She serves as the main representative for the Congregations of St. Joseph and a nongovernmental official in General Consultative Status with Economic and Social Council at the United Nations. A cappella ensemble
COLUMBIANA -- Midway Mennonite Church, 13376 Columbiana-Canfield Road, will present Sons of the Day in concert at 7 tonight. The seven-member ensemble sings a cappella and presents Renaissance, early American and contemporary selections. A free will offering will be taken.

Visitors Sunday
EAST PALESTINE -- Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church, corner of Grant and Walnut streets, will hold Visitors Sunday this weekend. Sunday school is at 9:30 a.m. Worship is scheduled at 10:45 with music and a children's sermon. A fellowship hour will follow.

CANFIELD -- Susan Boyer will speak on her journey out of drug addiction at 7 p.m. Feb. 26 Lifecare Ministry Center, Lucille Orr Ministries Inc., 5357 Raccoon Road. She is the building administrator at Total Living Center, Canton. Intercessory prayer sessions are scheduled for 7 p.m. Tuesdays and "In His Presence" services at 7 p.m. Fridays.
First sermon
YOUNGSTOWN -- Crystal S. Hamlette will preach her first sermon at 10:30 a.m. Sunday at Everlife Worship Center, 474 Early Road. She is a member of the Weapons of War Dance Ministry, the choir and social services ministry at Everlife.
