Miss Shorthouse, Mr. Higginbotham announce troth

Suzanne Shorthouse, 434 Arbor Circle, Youngstown, and Paul Higginbotham, 5568 E. Fantain Circle, Mason, are announcing their engagement.
The bride-elect is a daughter of Arthur Shorthouse, 3735 Blockhouse Way, Myrtle Beach, S.C., and the late Phyllis Shorthouse, and the prospective groom is a son of Georgetta Hase, 217 Apples Way, Batavia.
Miss Shorthouse received an undergraduate degree from Ohio State University in Columbus, with a dual major in biology and chemistry. She is pursuing her doctor of pharmacy degree at Duquesne University in Pittsburgh. She is an intern at CVS Pharmacy in Youngstown.
Mr. Higginbotham is a district manager with CVS in Cincinnati. He graduated from Ohio Northern University in Ada with a bachelor's degree in pharmacy.
The couple will be married in an open ceremony that will take place at 4:30 p.m. Aug. 11 at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Columbus. Their evening reception will be held by invitation at the Westin Great Southern in Columbus.
