Mount Union 69, Marietta 56
ALLIANCE -- Eric Fender (Poland) scored 18 points, making 6-of-10 shots, to help Mount Union to a victory in the Ohio Athletic Conference. Stu Anglum had 19 points for the Purple Raiders (10-14, 5-12 OAC), who trailed 31-26 at halftime but rallied with 52 percent shooting (13-of-25) after the intermission. Luke Conley and Jay Mathis each scored 10 points for Mount Union. Marietta (5-19, 1-16) was led by Isaiah Creasap with 14 points and five rebounds.
Allegheny 79, Hiram 66
HIRAM -- George Raftis scored 21 points and Craig Devinney added 16 for Allegheny in a North Coast Athletic Conference game. Jimmy Savage had 11 rebounds for the Gators (11-12, 7-8), who led 44-35 at halftime. Hiram (7-7-17, 6-9) had four players in double figures, led by Michael McDevitt (Lisbon) with 21. Ian McGuire added 13, Brandon Pool had 12 and Ian Pfouts finished with 10 points and 10 rebounds.
Washington & amp; Jefferson 87,Grove City 84
WASHINGTON, Pa. -- Shawn Carr had 21 points and 11 rebounds for Grove City in a Presidents' Athletic Conference game. Mark Smith added 20 points for the Wolverines (12-12, 5-6 PAC), while Ryan Gibson scored 13 points. Brandon Studer made 10 of 13 shots and scored 25 points to lead Washington & amp; Jefferson (11-13, 7-4). Jon Koch added 21 points and Wahab Owolabi finished with 18. Josip Lucic-Jozak had 13 points for the Presidents, who shot 57.4 percent from the field (27-of-47).
Notre Dame (Ohio) 92, Geneva 86
SOUTH EUCLID -- Jerome Pierce scored 38 points, making 17-of-19 free throws and 5-of-10 3-pointers, to lead Notre Dame in an American Mideast Conference North game. Karim McFarlane added 15 points and Kyle Miller scored 13 for Notre Dame (15-13, 7-2). Geneva (12-14, 2-6) was led by Jermaine Ferguson with 20 points.
WOMEN
Allegheny 91, Hiram 50
HIRAM -- Allegheny shot 53.8 percent from the field in a North Coast Athletic Conference victory. The Gators (17-7, 11-5) were led by Rosina Walton with 15 points, while Brittany Bell added 13 and Maggie Murcha 11. Allegheny made 34 of 64 shots. Hiram (6-18, 1-14) was led by Abbey Gorby (East Palestine) with 13 points and Tania Carman with 10. The Terriers were held to 28.8 percent shooting (19-of-66).
Washington & amp; Jefferson 67,Grove City 49
WASHINGTON, Pa. -- Emily Hays scored 12 points and Maria Hillenbrand finished with 11 points and 12 rebounds, to lead Washington & amp; Jefferson to its fifth straight win over Grove City. Kaleigh Bangor added 10 points for the Presidents (17-7, 9-2 Presidents' Athletic Conference), who led 33-20 at halftime. Rachel McCoy had 15 points, 13 rebounds and five assists to lead Grove City (5-18, 2-9), which shot just 29.4 percent (20-of-68).
Mount Union 52, Marietta 45
MARIETTA -- Mount Union shot just 33 percent (23-of-69), including 1-of-15 from 3-point range, and 5-of-11 at the foul line, but held a 53-41 edge in rebounds and limited Marietta to 25.9 percent shooting (15-of-58). Alicia Williams led the Purple Raiders (12-12, 8-9 Ohio Athletic Conference) with 17 points and 13 rebounds. Williams made 7-of-12 shots; the rest of the team was 16-of-56. Ashley Ross added 14 rebounds. Marietta (2-22, 0-17) was led by Tara Poling with 14 points and Abby Hess with 14 rebounds.
Geneva 67, Notre Dame (Ohio) 61
SOUTH EUCLID -- Allyson Clarke led Geneva with 13 points and 11 rebounds in an American Mideast Conference North game. Lauren Uranker also scored 13 points for the Golden Tornadoes (20-4, 11-2), while Renee Rawding had 12 points and 10 rebounds. Geneva won despite 38.6 percent shooting (22-of-57) and 28 turnovers. Kylee Kittner finished with 11 points. Notre Dame (19-9, 9-5) was led by Sarah Dia's 16 points. Ashley Carney added 13 and Amanda Brown scored 10.
