BOARDMAN -- Niagara Falls, Canada, was the honeymoon destination of Tucker Heffinger, 1645 E. South Range Road, North Lima, and his bride, the former Melanie Walker, 1337 Weathervane Lane, Akron, who were united in marriage Jan. 6 at St. James Meeting House in Boardman Township Park.
The Rev. Mark Brungard officiated at the 4:30 p.m. ceremony for the daughter of Thomas and Wendy Walker, 10574 Unity Road, New Middletown, and the son of Kathy Heffinger of the North Lima address and Bryan Heffinger, 5072 Middletown Road, New Middletown.
A reception was held afterward at Avion on the Water in Canfield.
The bride wore an ivory satin gown designed with a V-neckline.
Amy Jordan, the honor attendant, wore a black gown, as did the bridesmaids, Kristen Jenkins, Sarah Gabriel, Kristin Keller, Stephanie DiFranco and Aimee Wallace.
Jason Orr and Matt Migliore served as best men, and groomsmen were Troy Sauerwein, Matt Walker, Tom Klem and Brent Heffinger.
The bride is an academic adviser at Kent State University. She graduated from Baldwin-Wallace College in Berea with a bachelor's degree in speech communications and from Bowling Green State University with a master's in college student personnel. The groom was an active-duty infantryman with the U.S. Army for four years. He attended Walsh University in North Canton and is pursuing a degree in business management at KSU.
