BOARDMAN -- A honeymoon in the Bahamas followed the wedding of Melissa Virginia Clark and August Joseph Seckler, which took place Dec. 29 at St. James Meeting House in Boardman Township Park and was followed that evening by a reception at Avion on the Water in Canfield.
The Rev. William Wolfgang officiated at the 4 p.m. ceremony for the daughter of Jeffrey and Donna Braun, 1962 state Route 165 East Palestine, and the son of Terrance and Kathleen Landis, 1811 Alverne Drive, Poland.
Crystals adorned the bride's white ballgown, which was designed with a sweetheart illusion neckline and a tulle skirt that swept into a chapel train.
Merlot-colored gowns were worn by the bride's sisters and honor attendants, Holly Oleksa and Barbara Clark, and the bridesmaids, Teralynn McGath, sister of the groom; Tammy Guinther; Tammy Sharfal, the groom's cousin; and Monica Braun, the bride's stepsister. Flower girl was Victoria Wheeler.
Sharing the duties of best man were the groom's cousins, Thomas Sharfal Jr. and Daniel Sharfal, and serving as groomsmen were Charles Seckler Jr. and Anthony Tontaus, cousins of the groom; Scott Byrns; and Jeffrey Braun Jr., the bride's stepbrother.
Mrs. Seckler will graduate in May from Youngstown State University with a bachelor's degree in education.
Mr. Seckler earned an HVAC degree at ETI Technical College and is a technician with Praxair in Youngstown.
The couple live in Poland.
