Amanda Strong to be bride of Merrill Whippo Jr.

YOUNGSTOWN -- Amanda Strong and Merrill Whippo Jr., both of 3996 S. Schenley Ave., are announcing their engagement.
The couple are also revealing plans for their 2 p.m. July 7 wedding at Lord of Life Lutheran Church, Canfield. Invitations will be issued for the ceremony and also for their evening reception at The Regency House in Austintown.
Tom and Judy Strong, 34 Fairground Blvd., Canfield, are parents of the bride-elect. She graduated from Kent State University with a bachelor's and a master's degree in early childhood education, and is a kindergarten teacher with Western Reserve Local Schools in Berlin Center and Ellsworth.
Mr. Whippo is a son of Merrill Whippo Sr., 3408 N. Wendover Circle, and Janet Newton, 6775 Fox Hunt Court, Austintown. He is an insurance agent with General Insurance Agency in Austintown.
