KEEPING UP WITH … How local NFL players fared Sunday
Jeff Wilkins (Fitch/YSU) — Wilkins converted field goals from 37 and 42 yards, and an extra point in the Rams’ 48-19 loss to the Arizona Cardinals. Wilkins finished the season 25-for-25 on extra points and 24-of-32 on field goals for 97 points.
Isaac Smolko (Springfield) — The Jaguars tight end and former Penn State standout had his busiest day of the season in the Jaguars’ 42-28 loss to the Houston Texans. Smolko caught one pass for 5 yards and returned a kickoff for 12 yards.
Anthony Smith (Hubbard) — The former Syracuse standout returned to the starting lineup for the Steelers in their 27-21 loss to the Baltimore Ravens. He was credited with two tackles.
Brad Smith (Chaney) — The former Missouri standout did not record any statistics in the Jets’ 13-10 overtime win over the Kansas City Chiefs. Smith finished the season with 32 receptions for 325 yards and two touchdowns. He also rushed 12 times for 45 yards; returned nine kickoffs for a 20.3 yard average and had 10 tackles on special teams.
Marlin Jackson (Sharon) — The former Michigan standout started for the Colts against the Tennessee Titans Sunday night. He entered the game with a career-high 83 tackles this season, one-half sack and an interception.
Prescott Burgess (Warren) — The former Michigan standout from Harding remains on the Ravens’ injured reserve list with a quadriceps injury.
