Presidential politics

Here are some interesting Web sites to check out for those interested in the presidential race.

fec.gov: The official site of the Federal Election Commission. Of particular interest is the presidential campaign finance map on the site’s front page that allows readers to see who’s giving money — including their neighbors, friends, family and rich people they’ve heard of — to the presidential candidates.

politicalwire.com: A site that constantly posts the latest political news from numerous major news sources.

cqpolitics.com: From the mother of all political publications, Congressional Quarterly.

washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/politics/index.html: The Washington Post’s political Web site with links to The Fix, a great politics blog by Chris Cillizza, and The Trail, a diary of the presidential campaign. Another must-read on the site is The Fact Checker, which includes the Top Ten Fibs of 2007.

blogs.abcnews.com/politicalradar: ABC News has one of the more interesting political sites with a focus on the presidential campaign.

vote-smart.org: A Web site from Project Vote Smart that includes the candidates’ ratings from special interest groups and their voting records.
