South Range mat team is runner-up

ATWATER — South Range High placed second of 10 teams at the Waterloo Invitational wrestling tournament Friday.

Senior Brennan Witmer was one of four individual champions for the Raiders, at 140 pounds. Juniors Joe DeRose (135) and Beau Bowden (171), and sophomore Lance D’Angelo (125) also won titles.

Junior David Huffman was runner-up at 152, while juniors Jarrod Miller (112), Chris Scheckelhoff (125) and Billy Manypenny (285), and freshman Hayden Brooke (130) were all third. Senior Scott Mentzer (189) finished in fourth place.
