Police stop fist fight on South Side

YOUNGSTOWN — While driving through the parking lot of a bar on East Midlothian Boulevard around 2 a.m. today, a police officer was flagged down by bouncers.

The officer then saw two men engaged in a fist fight near the bar entrance and a third man jumping in. While trying to physically separate the combatants, one took a swing at the officer, who blocked the punch.

The three men stopped fighting and left the scene after the officer gave each a quick burst of pepper spray, reports show.
