Bring the family for some old-fashioned holiday ice skating at Chevrolet Centre from 6-8 p.m. Admission is $5, and skate rental is $3. A 25-foot Christmas tree will be set up at center ice while holiday music fills the air. Free lessons will be available for beginners, courtesy of Skating Club of Greater Youngstown. Line up for the Holiday Line Dance and Hair Show party with DJ Dr. Greg of the Total Package Band. It will begin at 7 p.m. and run until 11 at The B&O Station, 530 Mahoning Ave., Youngstown. All the old line dances — including the Detroit Hustle, Electric Slide, Booty Call, Cupid Shuffle and the Casper Slide — will be played, and at least one new one: Dr. Greg’s Simon Says Shuffle. Models will show the latest hair styles and the audience is asked to dress to impress and become part of the show. Admission is $5 to the 21-and-older event.

Youngstown State University men’s basketball team will take on Slippery Rock at 2:05 p.m. at Beeghly Center. Tickets are $10 and $6.

The Cellar in Struthers has an all-ages rock show with Forever We Stand, Amplexus, Oh Empire, Wake the Lion and Secondhand Suicide. Doors open at 7:30 p.m., with the show starting at 8:30. Tickets are $5 in advance, $7 at the door ($3 extra for those under 21). The Cellar is at 162 S. Bridge St.

The Last Hike of the Year at Mill Creek Park will explore the eastern shore of Lake Cohasset and the Amphitheater. Hikers will meet at Ford Nature Center at 2 p.m. for the three-mile hike. Moderate difficulty with hills and steps.
