KEEPING UP WITH … How local NFL players fared this week


Jeff Wilkins (Fitch/YSU) — Wilkins converted three extra points and a 52-yard field goal in a 41-24 loss to the Steelers Thursday night. This season Wilkins is 24-for-24 on extra points and 22-of-30 on field goals for 89 points.

Isaac Smolko (Springfield) — The Jaguars tight end and former Penn State standout played on special teams but did not record a tackle in the Jaguars’ 49-11 win over the Raiders Sunday.

Anthony Smith (Hubbard) — The former Syracuse standout was out of the starting lineup for the Steelers in their 41-24 win over the Rams Thursday night. He was credited with a tackle.

Brad Smith (Chaney) — The former Missouri standout started at wide receiver, catching five passes for 45 yards in the Jets’ 10-6 loss to the Titans Sunday. He also had a special teams tackle. Smith, whose practice time last week was limited because of a back injury, had a long gain of 29 yards on a pass reception from Chad Pennington.

Marlin Jackson (Sharon) — The former Michigan standout started at right cornerback in the Colts’ 38-15 win over the Texans. Jackson was credited with three tackles and a quarterback hurry.

Prescott Burgess (Warren) — The former Michigan standout from Harding remains on the Ravens’ injured reserve list with a quadriceps injury.
