Family Dollar in Youngstown robbed

YOUNGSTOWN — Two men dressed in black robbed the Family Dollar, 2801 Glenwood Ave., Sunday morning and got away with an undisclosed amount of money, police said. The two suspects, one carrying a red umbrella and the other wearing some sort of mask, entered the store and one walked up behind a store clerk who was getting change from a safe. The man demanded money, hit the clerk on the back of the head, then grabbed a bag of money and fled. The victim was able to call 911 and set off the store alarm. The report did not mention if the clerk needed medical attention.
