EAST STROUDSBURG, PA. -- Senior post player KellyAnn Staudinger scored a team-high 19 points for Slippery Rock in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference “crossover” action. Junior guard Amanda Nero (Lowellville) added 16 points, sophomore wing Julie Molloy (Grove City) chipped in 14 points and four assists and sophomore post player Colleen Smith had 10 points. Sophomore guard Nikki Presto had a team-high 10 rebounds and scored six points for The Rock, which lost for the second straight night and fourth time in as many “crossover” games this winter. The Rock is idle until Dec. 28, when it will take on Southern New Hampshire in the first of two games of the Surf ‘N Slam San Diego Hoops Classic in California.

EAST STROUDSBURG, Pa. -- Junior wingman Erroll Robinson scored a game-high 29 points in a losing effort in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference “crossover” action.
Junior post player Joseph Vines added 14 points and six rebounds for The Rock (2-7) while junior guard Darnell Johnson contributed 12 points and eight assists, junior guard Matt Schaefer 12 points and freshman post player Cory Somerville had a team-high 10 rebounds. The Rock led by 10 points, 42-32, at halftime and had a 14-point (49-35) lead 90 seconds into the second half before East Stroudsburg (6-3) rode an 18-2 run to a 53-51 lead with 14 minutes left. The hosts outscored The Rock by a 20-8 margin in the final eight minutes of action and had a 56-35 advantage in the final 20 minutes. SRU shot 44/8% (26 of 58) from the floor, 52.2% (12 of 23) from 3-point range and 56.5% (13 of 23) from the foul line. The Rock will look to snap a three-game losing skid Sunday when it travels to Ashland for a noon non-conference game.
