Route 11 Northbound reopens; Southbound closed a month?

State Route 11 northbound has reopened, the Ohio State Highway patrol said after noon today.

Route 11 southbound could be closed for as much as a month, the patrol added.

A truck driver was killed when the boom of the truck used to transport trash containers struck a bridge over state Route 11 early Tuesday.

Traffic is being diverted away from the north and southbound lanes of state Route 11 between state Route 82 and Interstate 80, the patrol said.

The Ohio Department of Transportation said a truck carrying a trash dumpster was traveling along Route 11, north of Girard (in the southbound direction) when it hit the Niles-Vienna Road overpass.
