DURHAM, N.C. — DeMarcus Nelson scored 23 points and No. 6 Duke turned in a sharp offensive performance after an exam break to beat Albany. Reserve Jon Scheyer added 18 points for the Blue Devils (10-0), who shot 60 percent and quickly turned this game into a rout. Duke had five players score in double figures and hit 15 of 26 3-pointers, continuing its strong outside shooting of recent games. Duke improved to 10-0 for the sixth time in eight seasons, while Hall of Fame coach Mike Krzyzewski earned his 785th career victory to move within a game of tying Lefty Driesell for sixth on the all-time list.

No. 10 Marquette 80, IPFW 56

MILWAUKEE — Dominic James had 17 points and six assists and Wesley Matthews added 15 points as Marquette used its speedy, athletic guards to overwhelm IPFW. Marquette, in the midst of five straight home games that lead into Big East play, was playing its second game in three nights after playing just two games the previous two weeks due to final exams.

No. 18 Gonzaga 77, N. Colorado 57

SPOKANE, Wash. — Freshman Austin Daye scored 18 points and Micah Downs added 17. Downs hit a career-high five 3-pointers in 10 attempts as the Bulldogs (9-2) overcame a slow start to coast to an easy win. Steven Gray, playing for the first time this season, added 12 points and Jeremy Pargo had 10 points and eight assists for the Zags. Jabrik Banks had 18 points for Northern Colorado (5-4), which missed its first 13 attempts from 3-point range and shot 31 percent from the field overall.
