“Nova: Missing In MiG Alley” (8 p.m., PBS): The Korean War, the first conflict fought with jet planes, is revisited in this program combining archival footage and dramatizations. Soviet and U.S. fighters clashed over North Korea in 1950, using the most advanced aircraft of the time. The American F-86 Sabre and the Soviets’ MiG-15 dueled near the Korean-Chinese border along a strip of airspace known as MiG Alley. The show looks at how the planes became known as fighting machines.

“The Biggest Loser” (9 p.m., NBC): It’s time to weigh in on “The Biggest Loser” as the winner gets revealed in tonight’s finale. All of the season’s contestants return for the event and show America how many pounds they’ve dropped since beginning their weight-loss adventures. The champ nabs $250,000, which can buy a whole lot of SlimFast.
