HONOR FLIGHT

Honor Flight, a program started in May 2005 in Dayton, flies World War II veterans free of charge to visit the WW II Memorial in Washington, D.C. Some facts:

Honor Flight grew out of the efforts of Earl Morse, a pilot, physician assistant and retired Air Force captain.

Veterans fly free, but escorts or family members who accompany them pay their own way.

Honor Flight operates between April and November.

WW II veterans interested in participating in Honor Flight can obtain an application in two ways:

Go to the Web site www.HonorFlight.org, download an application and mail it to Honor Flight, 300 E. Auburn Ave., Springfield, Ohio 45505.
