The Regional Chamber has promoted Sandy Homrighouse to economic development specialist and Lynn-Marie Popa to be facilities supervisor of the Youngstown Central Area Community Improvement Corp. Homrighouse will be responsible for a broad range of economic development functions. She had been administrative assistant and office manager. She earned a bachelor’s degree in marketing management from Youngstown State University. Popa is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the George V. Voinovich Government Center, Mahoning County Children Services building and the 7th District Court of Appeals building. She had been an administrative assistant for the YCACIC, which has a staffing contract with the chamber. She earned a bachelor’s degree in human resources management from YSU.

ACCOUNTING

Packer, Thomas has made several promotions at its Youngstown office.

Nicole Ferraro of Youngstown and Cindy Wollet of Poland have been named senior managers. Both are graduates of Youngstown State University. Ferraro’s areas of expertise are accounting and auditing for manufacturers, wholesalers and not-for-profit organizations. Wollet’s areas of expertise are financial institutions, internal audit outsourcing, pension plan audits, not-for-profit organizations, construction and manufacturing.

Jody Deflin of Austintown and Kelly Lipka of Youngstown were named managers. Both are graduates of YSU. Deflin’s areas of expertise are manufacturers and wholesalers. Lipka’s area of expertise are high-income people, manufacturing and personal service corporations.
