Fitch suffers 37-34 defeat against Lake

AUSTINTOWN — Billy Habreck’s 3-pointer at the buzzer on Friday gave the Lake High boys basketball team a 37-34 victory over Fitch.

Habreck finished with 14 points for the Blue Streaks (5-2, 1-1 Federal League).

For the Falcons (1-4, 0-2), Jon Ballard scored 20 points and Jon Stockman 11. Ballard’s final basket was a 3-pointer with 1:10 remaining that tied the game at 31-31.

The Blue Streaks held the ball for a final shot.

Canton GlenOak 69, Boardman 58

CANTON — C.J. McCollum scorred 21 points, including four 3-point goals to spearhead GlenOak (4-1, 2-0 Federal League).

Storm Sanders contributed 17 points, T. J. Sutton 16 and Scott Fisher 10 to assist GlenOak.

J.T. Moore fired in 20 points and grabbed 12 rebounds to lead Boardman (3-3, 0-2 FL), while Frank Curtis added 10 points.
