Local boy wins Cleveland Browns contest
AUSTINTOWN — A Lloyd Elementary School third-grader is getting to see an NFL player’s view of a football field.
In turn, a football player will spend some time in school.
Anthony Phillips Jr., 9, won one of six grand prizes in the Switcheroo sweepstakes on the Web site backyardsports.com.
Now he and his dad, Anthony Phillips Sr., will spend two nights at a hotel in Cleveland this weekend and get field passes for this Sunday’s Browns game against the Buffalo Bills.
They’ll get a limousine ride back to Austintown after the game, and Anthony gets $500 to buy souvenirs.
Then, on Tuesday, Browns wide receiver Travis Wilson will be at Lloyd Elementary School at 2 p.m. to speak at an assembly there.
