Ice Zone features holiday skating show

BOARDMAN — The North Pole Express holiday figure skating show will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Ice Zone, 360 McClurg Road.

The family event will include the Mahoning Valley Phantoms Figure Skating Club, the Learn to Skate program and guest skaters performing routines to holiday classics such as “Let it Snow,” “Santa Claus is Coming to Town” and “Frosty the Snowman.”

“Last year we had over 400 people,” said figure skating director Skip Mackall. “We do two shows a year, and the holiday show is the time we let some of the advanced skaters choreograph their own numbers and show what they’ve been working on here halfway through our season.”
