5 Weathersfield district workers get 2 percent salary increases


MINERAL RIDGE — The Weathersfield school board has granted 2 percent increases retroactive to July 1 for the 2007-2008 school year for five nonunion employees.

Receiving the increases at this week’s board meeting are:

UMaria Moranski, treasurer’s assistant, from $32,331 to $32,978 (total increase $647 for one year).

U Rose Hinks, treasurer’s assistant, from $28,160 to $28,723 (a total of $563 for one year).

U Terri Cameron, superintendent’s secretary, from $30,767 to $31,382 (a $615 increase for one year).

U Dan Kiger, buildings, grounds and maintenance supervisor, from $41,718 to $42,552 (an $834 increase for one year).

U Ron Knight, transportation supervisor, $20,859 to $21,276 (an increase of $417 in one year).

The employees also received an increase in their life insurance from $35,000 to $40,000.

Nonteaching employees settled on a new three-year contract this summer and also got a $5,000 increase in their life insurance, from $35,000 to $40,000, and pay raises of 2 percent in each of the three years.
