League of Women Voters plans 2008 schedule

YOUNGSTOWN — The League of Women Voters of Greater Youngstown announces its plans for 2008.

The league will host elected officials at the Legislative Brunch Jan. 19 at the Youngstown Club. Anyone wishing to attend must pay $10 to Jane Beilby, 98 Marcia Drive, Youngstown OH 44515. The brunch will begin at 9 a.m. and includes a social hour, meeting and ten minutes of information from each national and state elected official.

A joint imPACT Town Hall meeting with the Trumbull County LWV will take place at 6:30 p.m. Feb. 25 at the Jewish Community Center, Gypsy Lane. The topic will be judicial reform. Chairwoman is Betty Beelen. Anyone interested in serving on the committee is asked to call (330) 702-1749.

The annual joint dinner meeting with the United Nations Association of the USA and the American Association of University Women will take place March 13 at Park Vista, and the annual dinner meeting is set for April 28.
