Driver of car in crash identified

YOUNGSTOWN — A car driven eastbound on Poland Avenue Thursday morning went left of center and struck a LifeFleet ambulance head-on, said Detective Sgt. Rob Deichman, an accident investigator. Deichman said the driver of the car, Candice Cole, 33, of Wolosyn Circle, Boardman, was taken to St. Elizabeth Health Center in critical condition. He said the investigation continues. No serious injuries were reported for the two-person ambulance crew.
