Campbell police say resident shot intruder to death
CAMPBELL — No charges have yet been filed in the shooting death of a 19-year-old Bright Avenue man during what appears to be an attempted robbery shortly after 9 p.m. Wednesday on Porter Avenue.
Killed was Ronald G. Harrison II. Police said he was shot by Nicholas Galanses, who told police the front doorbell rang. He said he never answers the front door, and grabbed his pistol on the way to the garage door to see who was there. He called out, and a man, later identified as Harrison, entered his garage brandishing a pistol and demanding money. Galanses said he fired several times. Police found Harrison lying in the street near the driveway at 332 Porter and wearing a nylon stocking cap on his head and face.
