“Kid Nation” (8 p.m., CBS): The sun is about to set on “Kid Nation,” the youth-centric reality show that began the season in a blaze of controversy and ends up being largely ignored. After 40 days together, the “pioneers” are pressed to prove that they’ve created a working society before they bid farewell. Expect the root beer — and tears — to flow.

“Crowned: The Mother of All Pageants” (9 p.m., The CW): The latest “American’s Next Top Model” season comes to an end tonight, but not to worry: More catty divas are on the way in “Crowned: The Mother of All Pageants.” The new reality show follows 11 mother-daughter teams as they prepare to compete in a beauty pageant. The winners nab $100,000 and, of course, a fabulous pair of tiaras.

“Christmas in Washington” (10 p.m., TNT): Dr. Phil and his wife, Robin, return to host “Christmas in Washington,” the annual musical event gala attended by the President, first lady and other Beltway bigwigs. Among those scheduled to perform are Andrea Bocelli, Vanessa Hudgens, Alan Jackson, Colbie Caillat and Katharine McPhee.
