Pinning ceremony held
ALLIANCE — Four registered nurses at Alliance Community Hospital earned specialty certifications in their fields of expertise, and nine were awarded bachelor’s degrees in nursing during a pinning ceremony held recently at the hospital.
Recipients of specialty certifications were Lori Chunko, a registered nurse since 1997, who has worked in intensive care for the past eight years and is now a critical-care registered nurse; Kim Moore, a registered nurse for over 23 years, mainly in progressive care, and now a progressive-care certified nurse; Becky Glista, a registered nurse for eight years, with seven in intensive care, and now a critical-care registered nurse; and Jill Dorsey, who has worked in progressive care since becoming a registered nurse in 1999 and is now a progressive-care certified nurse.
The nine who received bachelor’s degrees in nursing from Indiana Wesleyan University were: Chris Cannell, Billie Jo Blair Hatton, Mike Flinn, Renee Bender, Polly Oschsendorf, Tracey Edwards and Joan Thomas of ACH, and Carla Locke and Lori Williams of Alliance Visiting Nurse Association and Hospice.
