Eagle award
Mitchell J. Keshock, 18, of Sharrott Road in Poland, son of Rich and Linda Keshock, recently received his Eagle Scout Award at a court-of-honor ceremony in Mount Olivet United Church of Christ, North Lima.
Mitchell is a member of Troop 80, whose scoutmaster is Fred Shimer. Mitchell joined Scouting in October 2003. He has served as patrol leader, assistant senior patrol leader and librarian and and earned 22 merit badges.
He is a member of Order of the Arrow Ordeal.
His Eagle Scout service project was to plan and build a 30-foot walking bridge for the Beaver Township Nature Preserve. All materials were donated, and the troop assisted in building it under the supervision of three adults.
Mitchell is a senior at South Range High School and is a member of St. Jude Catholic Church, where he serves as an usher and greeter.
