isn’t one that’s closing

BOARDMAN — Sofa Plus in Boardman said some confusion has arisen because another Ohio furniture retailer is closing. Some people have questioned whether the local store is closing, but it is not. Sofa Express & More in Groveport announced Wednesday that it is closing its stores and corporate headquarters. One media outlet incorrectly reported the name of the Groveport company, which caused some people to wonder if the local store was involved.

MTR Gaming prepares
to add casino games

CHESTER, W.Va. — MTR Gaming Group Inc. says it’s on track to add craps, blackjack and other games to its West Virginia casino Dec. 20. But first, it will conduct two nights of charity test runs under the watchful eye of the West Virginia Lottery Commission.

If all goes well Dec. 17-18, the Lottery will approve 50 new tables the next day. That would set the stage for roulette, three-card poker and other games in four newly renovated areas of the Speakeasy Casino beginning at 10 a.m. Dec. 20.
