Charges follow two drug raids

YOUNGSTOWN — Three men face drug-related charges after two drug raids on Thursday. At 1210 Arch Street, Phillip D. Whitman, 31, of Cassius Street was issued a citation charging drug abuse marijuana and Mario Towsend, 20, of East Florida Avenue was issued a citation charging of possession of dangerous drugs (pills). At 630 Griffith St., Apt. 167, Ricky M. Easterly, 26, of Morley Avenue, Campbell was arrested on charges of possession of cocaine and having a weapon under disability, based on previous convictions. All three were arraigned today in municipal court. Whitman will be back in court Jan. 11 and Townsend on Jan. 24 for pretrial hearings. Bond was set at $25,000 for Easterly and a preliminary hearing set for Dec. 13.
