“Frosty the Snowman” (8 p.m., CBS): It’s time to chill out and spend an evening with that jolly happy soul in “Frosty the Snowman,” another holiday favorite that has stood the test of time without suffering a meltdown. It precedes an airing of “Frosty Returns.”

“Las Vegas” (10 p.m., NBC): On “Las Vegas,” the casino staffers are busy making holiday plans, except for Mike, who begins to doubt his place in Sin City as well as his friends’ lives. Meanwhile, Delinda and Piper host a “Hot Santa” contest to win the Vegas casino charity competition.

“Movies Rock” (9 p.m., CBS): The long, harmonious relationship between music and film is the theme of the first annual “Movies Rock,” a two-hour entertainment special that aims to celebrate every dimension of music’s role in movie making. Performers include Beyoncé, Carrie Underwood, Elton John, Fergie, Jennifer Hudson, John Legend, John Williams, Marc Anthony, Mary J. Blige, Tony Bennett, Queen Latifah and Usher. Also on hand: Billy Bob Thornton, Charlize Theron, Cuba Gooding Jr., Danny Devito, Harrison Ford, Jenna Fischer, Jennifer Lopez, John C. Reilly, Josh Duhamel, Matthew Broderick, Quentin Tarantino, Rita Moreno and Shirley MacLaine.
