Louie Free, Vindy.com's news radio partner, will chat with Michael S. Senchak, president and chief executive officer of Mahoning Valley Hospital, about the Valley's latest health care war on today's "Brainfood From the Heartland."

MVH recently learned that a competitor, Select Specialty Services, has not only leased space in the new St. Elizabeth Health Center hospital in Boardman, but also plans to stay put in St. E's Youngstown putting the squeeze on MVH's anticipated expansion into Boardman, and its continued operations in the Youngstown/Liberty area.

Senchak told his staff and physicians in a letter Monday that Humility of Mary Health Partners’ moves will have a "severe impact" on MVH's future. HMHP is St. E's parent company.
