Licenses suspended for 10 Valley attorneys

The attorneys can’t practice until they pay up.

COLUMBUS — Ten attorneys from the Mahoning Valley area were among several hundred statewide who had their law licenses suspended this week by the Ohio Supreme Court for failing to complete their biennial registrations.

A total of 345 attorneys failed to submit their paperwork by the end of November, even after being warned by the state’s top court that they were out of compliance in July and October.

Lawyers are required to submit the two-year registrations for the biennium that began Sept. 1. Most of the 42,000 active and corporate attorneys had registered by the deadline.

Suspended attorneys are barred from practicing law until meeting the registration requirements and paying fees, including an additional $300 for reinstatement.

Area attorneys who were suspended, according to the Ohio Supreme Court, are:

UDaniel D. Ujczo, Youngstown (judicial law clerk in U.S. District Court, Northern Ohio).

UVictor Chester Hull, Youngstown.

UMichael P. O’Day, Warren (magistrate at 11th District Court of Appeals).

UKenneth N. Shaw, Warren.

URalph A. Zuzolo, Niles.
