General outlook: An athletic team, the Warriors are very quick and able to run on offense and put pressure on the ball on defense.

BEAVER LOCAL

Coach: Frank Linkous, seventh season.

Career record: 67-51.

Projected starters: Seniors: Samantha Mobley, 6-2, center, 6.6 PPG: Cylee Bowersock, 5-5, guard, 6.6 PPG; Abby Allen, 5-3, guard, 5.3 PPG. Juniors: Marissa Newbauer, 5-51⁄2, forward; Macy Weber, 5-51⁄2, forward, 7 PPG.

Other varsity players: Seniors: Alex Ellis, 5-6, forward, 1.5 PPG; Jayna Waite, 5-1, guard. Juniors: Alyson Derenburger, 5-0, guard; Kayla Mackall, 5 51⁄2, forward, 1.5 PPG. Sophomore: Samantha Cianni, 5-2, guard, 2 PPG.

General outlook: The Beavers have team speed and good defense, but after Mobley, rebounding will be a concern.

MAPLEWOOD

Coach: Mark Yoder, 11th season.

Career record:156-61.

Last year’s record: 16-6.

Projected starters: Seniors: Kristen Schwartz, 6-0, center, 15 PPG; Leah Dean, 5-1, guard/forward. Juniors: Michelle Sloan, 5-3, guard, 6 PPG; Ellie Engstrom, 5-10, center, 5 PPG. Freshman: Brittney Rumple, 5-6, forward.

Other varsity players: Senior: Rachel Rice, 5-6, guard, 2 PPG; Melissa Sloan, 5-6, guard.

General outlook: The Rockets have a few returning players with experience, but depth is a weakness and the girls must stay out of foul trouble.

SOUTHEAST

Coach: Dave Tasker.

Career record: 53-52.

Last year’s record: 17-4, 12-2.

Projected starters: Seniors: Ali Austin, 5-3, guard; Erica Coontz, 5-6, point guard; Lindsay Speidel, 5-11, forward; Kelsey Hill, 5-7, Nikki Murphy, 6-0, guard/forward. Junior: Mya Levels, 5-4, guard.
