Fire damages South Avenue business

YOUNGSTOWN — Firefighters found heavy smoke showing when they arrived at 3201 South Ave. around 11:55 p.m. Tuesday and used a chain saw and axes to ventilate the roof, reports show. Fire was discovered under the office area of the car-related business. Damage was set at $34,000 to the property and contents. The cause is under investigation. Reports did not list the name of the business and no one on duty this morning knew the name.
