Arrest follows rape indictment

YOUNGSTOWN — Michael I. Skidmore of Diamond has been arrested on a 12-count indictment that charges him with three counts of rape of a child under 13, three counts of rape of a minor, three counts of gross sexual imposition of a child under 13 and three counts of gross sexual imposition of a minor. The charges were directly presented to a Mahoning County grand jury on Nov. 29. Skidmore, 35, was arrested at home on Monday by deputy U.S. marshals and members of the Street Crimes Unit. He is scheduled to be arraigned on Dec. 11.
