HEALTH CARE

Cindi Bishop of Green Township has been appointed manager of perioperative services for St. Elizabeth Health Center. Bishop holds a diploma in nursing from St. Elizabeth School of Nursing and is to receive a bachelor of science in nursing from Youngstown State University this month. She had been a staff nurse in the post anesthesia care unit at St. Elizabeth.

Patricia Helm of Canfield has been appointed director of performance improvement/accreditation at Humility of Mary Health Partners. Helm earned her diploma in nursing from St. Elizabeth School of Nursing and her bachelor of science in education from Youngstown State University. She is a master’s degree candidate at John Carroll University in Cleveland. She had been manager of performance improvement at HMHP.

SERVICE

The Jewish Community Center of Youngstown has hired Jason Callihan as director of health & wellness. He will be overseeing the growth and development of the fitness and aquatic departments and a new sports and recreation program. He had been health/fitness supervisor at Duneland Health and Wellness Institute in Chestertown, Ind. He earned a bachelor’s degree in exercises science from the University of Toledo and master’s and law degrees from Quinnipiac University. He is a certified personal trainer.

CONSULTING

Scott Tackett of Cortland has been named business development specialist at Violand Management Associates. The North Canton company offers business-management teaching, training, and consulting, specializing in the cleaning and restoration industry. Tacket is an adjunct professor at Kent State University and previously was vice president of human resources and administration at Denman Tire Corp. in Leavittsburg. He earned a bachelor’s degree in human resource management and a master’s degree in organizational leadership, both from Geneva College.

EDUCATION

National College has hired Mary Chiovitti of Boardman, Jolyn Cleland of Niles, Samantha Rivalsky of Poland, Deanna Theodore of Mineral Ridge and Antwanette Welch of Austintown as admissions representatives at its Youngstown campus. In addition, National College has named Casey A. Brown of Rogers as the campus librarian, Shaquela Jones of Youngstown as student services representative, Stephanie Rasmer of Youngstown as financial planning representative, and Shannon Coffey of Youngstown as campus receptionist.

NONPROFIT

Beatitude House has hired Michelle Rockwood as assistant development director. She recently spent more than a year living and working in Mali, one of the poorest countries in the world. She received a bachelor’s degree with majors in journalism and political science from Dominican University in River Forest, Ill. She joined the U.S. Peace Corps in 2006.

BANKING

Home Savings and Loan Co. has hired Michael Wright of Canfield as mortgage loan specialist. He had worked for GMAC Mortgage and holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Akron.

Home Savings also has hired Rebecca Tolson of Lisbon as mortgage loan specialist. She had been a mortgage loan originator for Key Bank.

Lisa Theis has been named relationship manager at Key Bank in Austintown. She had been a field mortgage advisor.
