Two deer hunters stabbed during dispute

BERLIN HEIGHTS, Ohio (AP) — Authorities say two deer hunters in northern Ohio are being treated for stab wounds after they got into an argument with a drifter.

The two men had been hunting near Huron, about 50 miles west of Cleveland, Friday morning when a man wandered into the field.

Erie County Sheriff’s Captain Paul Sigsworth says an argument broke out, and Tyrone Cash of Lorain began stabbing the two men.

Mitchell Bellamy of Berlin Heights was stabbed once in the head.

Chad Rothgeb of Norwalk was stabbed several times in the back.

Sigsworth says both injuries are serious.

Cash is charged with attempted murder, felonious assault and aggravated robbery.
