Second suspect in home burglary arrested
BOARDMAN — Police arrested the second suspect in a Wednesday morning burglary of a Southern Boulevard home.
Township police and members of the U.S. Marshal’s Service Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force arrested Jamie Jones, 21, of East Boston Avenue, Youngstown, at 1:18 p.m. Friday afternoon at his home.
Jones is charged with burglary and was in the Mahoning County Jail.
On Thursday, township police and the marshal’s service arrested Charzell Calhoun, 21, of Glenwood Avenue, at the Eastwood Village Apartments on Youngstown’s northeast side where he had been hiding out with his girlfriend. Calhoun is in Mahoning County Jail, also charged with burglary.
A Southern Boulevard woman reported two men kicking in the door of her home late Wednesday morning. She hid in her closet and called police on her cell phone.
It was the second time the home had been a target of a burglary. The first burglary took place last week when the house was empty. The suspects took electronic games and other items in both crimes.
