Hospice fundraiser to be held at winery

BERLIN CENTER — Masterpietro Winery Inc., 14558 Ellsworth Road, will be the setting from 1 to 4 p.m. Sept. 16 for “An Afternoon in the Country” wine-tasting event.

Sponsored by the Alliance Community Hospital Foundation, the fundraiser will benefit the Alliance Visiting Nurse Association and Hospice.

Tickets for the casual afternoon of relaxation and socialization are $16 each if purchased in advance by calling the foundation at (330) 596-7516, or stopping at the winery. They are $18 on the event day.

Ticketholders will receive a sampling of four wines, gourmet appetizers by Culinary Creations and musical entertainment by the Tuscan Trio, and be given the opportunity to view the works of local artists and learn about various wines.

Major sponsors are Cassaday-Turkle Christian Funeral and Cremation Service at the Merlot level and Tom and Liz Shelt at the Cabernet level.
