ASSOCIATIONS

• Boardman-Canfield-Poland Branch of the American Association of University Women will meet Wednesday at Baird Pavilion in Canfield. Those attending are asked to take a salad or dessert. After supper there will be a book auction.

ATHLETIC GROUPS

• McDonald Baseball Association will meet at 6 p.m. Sunday in the senior citizens room at the post office building.

AUXILIARIES

• Flora McDonald Auxiliary will meet for lunch at 12:30 p.m. Sept. 8 in the activity center at Shepherd of the Valley on Sharrott Road. The hostess will be Alice Maxwell.

• Campbell Memorial High School Class of 1950 will meet at noon Wednesday at Bedford Trails, 713 Bedford Road, Coitsville Township.

• Wilson High School Class of 1951 will meet for breakfast at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Denny’s on U.S. Route 224 in Boardman. Guests are welcome.

• Mahoning Valley Civil War Round Table will have a dinner and meeting at 6:30 p.m. Monday at Antone’s Banquet Centre in Boardman. Larry Johnson will speak on the life of Capt. Thomas W. Patton. Ann Sevenich, director of community services, will speak on “Offerings in Skilled Nursing, Assisted Living, Independent Living and Home Health Care.” Guests are welcome.

• Youngstown Women’s Connection will hold a luncheon with the theme “Mirror Mirror on the Wall” at noon Sept. 11 at the Italian-American Veterans Centre in Youngstown. Doors will open at 11 a.m., and featured will be Amy Smith, Kathy Loree and Sharon Moore. Guest speaker will be Arlene Kinnell on “Be Happy With Who You Are.” Cost is $8 per person. LIBRARY FRIENDS

• Friends of Boardman Library will meet Sept. 10 in the library meeting room for a social at 9:30 a.m. followed by a program, “Painter Charles Burchfield,” by John Dunlap at 10. Dues of $5 will be collected, and guests are welcome. Hostesses will be Betty Anzevino, Jan Harper, Romaine Moore and Pat Spisak. Members are reminded that donations of books and tapes for the fund-raising book cart are being collected from 10 a.m. to noon the first and third Saturday of each month.

• Knights of Columbus of Girard will meet at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday and again on Sept. 18 at the K. of C. hall on State Street in Girard. The club has a membership of over 250 men whose principal mission is to support the church and youth of the community, and to support mentally challenged citizens by raising funds for Fairhaven School.

• McDonald Knights of Columbus will meet at 8:30 p.m. Wednesday at the K. of C. Hall, Illinois Avenue.

• St. Rose Quilting Group meets at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the parish house.
