Trumbull Co. board rules petitions invalid

WARREN — Several Trumbull County school board candidates will not see their names on the ballot in November because their petitions were ruled invalid.

Among them are Christopher J. Vitello, who filed petitions to run for the Liberty school board; and Patrick Flanagan, who filed to run for the Warren school board.

Their petitions were ruled invalid at Wednesday’s meeting of the Trumbull County Board of Elections.

Vitello failed to sign one of the pages of his petitions, which left an insufficient number of valid signatures. Flanagan’s petitions also contained an insufficient number of signatures.

Four local liquor options were also rejected for an insufficient number of valid signatures. They were for Mom’s Market in Bazetta, Amen Corner in Girard, Wagon Wheel in Warren Township and Uni Mart in Weathersfield Township.
