SALEM — A city man faces extradition to Florida to face accusations that he was the triggerman in a domestic murder in Florida five years ago.

Jessy Castelucci, 25, is to appear today in Columbiana County Municipal Court to have a bond set.

There may also be action on whether Castelucci is extradited to Florida, according to Ryan Weikart, an assistant Columbiana County prosecutor.

Castelucci has been held without bond after being arrested earlier this week as he was leaving a house in Salem, according to Detective David Talbert of the Salem police.

Castelucci is charged with premeditated first-degree murder, according to Larry Long, a spokesman for the Florida Department of Law Enforcement.

He is accused of shooting Davronjon Bakeev, 29, in Muse, a community in Glades County, Fla.

Bakeev was reported missing Nov. 23, 2002, to the Lee County Sheriff’s Office in Florida.

His wife, Hadassah Bakeev, 31, and her sister, Tabitha Labay, 33, both of Muse, Fla., have each been charged with one count of premeditated murder.

Working on a recent tip, Glades county authorities on Aug. 21 found skeletal remains in a shallow grave near a barn in Muse. Florida authorities believe they are the remains of Davronjon Bakeev.

Accusation

Authorities said the two sisters and Castelucci conspired to kill Hadassah Bakeev’s husband and dispose of his body and his car.

In return for his role in the murder, Castelucci was given a car, authorities said.

Talbert said Castelucci sometimes did roofing or repairs, and often traveled to Florida to visit his father.

The detective said that the victim was not living with his wife at the time of his disappearance, but traveled to Glades County to see their children. He was contemplating taking his children and returning to Pakistan.

It was not clear how Castelucci became involved with the sisters.

The case broke when authorities recently received information about the case from a relative of the sisters who lives in Idaho, authorities said. That information led to the search for the body.

Castelucci was charged in municipal court with assault in 2003. The charge was reduced to disorderly conduct. Castelucci served three days in jail and was fined $100.
